Scarborough shows low research participation rates compared to the rest of Toronto, a trend SHN Research Institute aims to understand. The Research Education and Access for Community Health in Scarborough (REACH) Café Scientifique, which took place April 4 was a pivotal milestone for SHN Research Institute – allowing us to explore increasing research coverage, informed consent, ethical concerns, and community engagement in designing studies.
