February is Heart Month, and Scarborough Health Network’s Cardiac Care program is inviting community members to come have a heart to heart.
Join us for our annual Community Talk and come learn about improving your heart health and achieving a better quality lifestyle. The event will feature a panel of panel of experts — including exercise therapists, nurse practitioners, a dietitian and pharmacist — who will have a free-flowing discussion about a number of heart health topics.
Topics to include: Cardiovascular disease and risk factors, heart-healthy eating, benefits of exercise, managing medications, heart failure, cultural factors, and smoking cessation
Guest speaker: You will also hear from a Patient Family Advisor who will share their cardiac story and experience
Everyone is welcome; admission and parking are free. Staff from the regional program will also be performing blood pressure tests and providing one-on-one consultations on cardiovascular health.
