Join us for the Sickle Cell Disease Townhall on November 18!

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is hosting a townhall to spread awareness about Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), its treatment, and its impact on patients and their families. SHN has been treating kids with SCD and their families for 20 years. Now, we are redesigning our care to better serve and advocate for those diagnosed with this disease, and we want to hear from you!

We welcome patients, family, and other members of the community to come listen to SHN physicians and community leaders. This forum opens the floor to the community for questions or feedback about SCD treatment within our hospitals. It also provides an opportunity to learn about the condition and what you can do to support those in the community with it.

This event takes place on November 18, 2023 at Centenary Hospital in the Bruce Johnston Conference Room on the 3rd floor. You can expect:

  • Games and entertainment available for the kids.
  • Refreshments, snacks and parking provided.
  • An agenda filled with valuable insights, community support, and meaningful connections.

Kindly confirm your attendance by November 11, 2023 by registering for tickets here.

Come show your support by learning about SCD and contributing any feedback you might have about our care system. As a community, we can raise awareness, foster understanding, and support those affected by SCD. We look forward to your participation in this significant initiative.

Together, we are shaping the future of care.
