STANDARDIZED CARE

Through our Centres of Excellence, we will be able to make sure that all families get the same level of exceptional care when children and teens are seen and treated overnight at our health network.

CARE IN SCARBOROUGH

We want to provide the very best, high-quality services so that families are able to access the specialized care they need right here at SHN — without having to leave our Scarborough community.

NETWORK OF EXPERTS

We are bringing together the expertise in maternal and newborn care that we already have at SHN — and with our Centres of Excellence, will attract more leading specialists to offer services in Scarborough.

At Scarborough Health Network (SHN), we provide high-quality services and care for newborns, children, and teens.

We have children's units where we care for kids who have to stay in hospital. At our Centenary site, our kids care unit features a Ronald McDonald Family Room.

Another key feature is the private sleep room and a rest and respite area with recliners in individual pods and custom-built privacy screens.

We are also home to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), where we are able to look after newborns as premature as 30 weeks.
