This is a roll call to all your friends and family! Scarborough Health Network (SHN) and the Scarborough Ontario Health Team (SOHT) partners are gearing up for one of their biggest COVID-19 vaccination events yet.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 29 and 30, the Scarborough Vaccine Team is planning to serve more than 5,000 vaccine doses across three pop-up clinics locations ” Centennial College’s Progress Campus and Ashtonbee Campus and the University of Toronto – Scarborough Campus ” as well as their regular community clinic sites.

Dubbed the Family Roll Call – Vax Weekend, community members are encouraged to invite their families, friends, and loved ones to book an appointment or walk in, and come roll up their sleeves to get vaccinated. The clinics will offer Pfizer and Moderna boosters for those 18+ years who received their second dose at least three months ago, and Pfizer paediatric doses for children five to 11 years old ” including second doses for kids who received their first dose at least 21 days ago. Those 12+ who aren’t already fully vaccinated are also invited to come get their first or second dose.

“We are once again calling on families and friends to help us get to everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated with their first, second and booster doses. We have come a long way together in achieving a vaccination rate of over 80 per cent. Let us continue to work together to keep everyone in our entire community safe and healthy,” said Glyn Boatswain, Chief Nursing and Allied Professionals Executive, SHN.

The Family Roll Call – Vax Weekend event is the latest in the Scarborough Vaccine Team’s ongoing strategy, which has already administered over 700,000 vaccine doses, including more than 100,000 boosters. The rollout has involved a nimble vaccine team, many neighbourhood pop-up clinics, and a network of community clinics and partnerships.
